The book is a science-driven guide to help you protect your mind from decline. The author offers insights from top scientists all over the world, whose cutting-edge research can help you heighten and protect brain function and maintain cognitive health at any age.
“Keep Sharp” is mainly a self-help book. According to Gupta you could make your brain better, faster, fitter and sharper every day of your life. He states that you have to first take care of your mind in order to best take care of your body,. If you are looking to achieve your greatest potential, this book may be interesting. If you are hoping to gain insights into preventing cognitive decline or dementia that affected your family, this book is also for you. There are many things he would have done differently, had he known then what he knows now. He would like you to avoid the mistakes he made. He lays out a “sharp brain” programme, consisting of exercise, healthful eating, a bedtime routine, sound sleep, relaxation, intentional socialising, yoga, and even a gratitude journal. This book is quite readable, lucid and succinct.
